CHERKASY REGION: EFFECTIVE COOPERATION WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES LEADS TO NEW HOUSING FOR UKRAINIANS

The Cherkasy Regional Office of the State Fund cooperates productively with the Cherkasy City Territorial Community and the communities of the region. Thanks to funding from the budget of Cherkasy and the region, in the first half of 2023, 16 families received preferential housing loans on favorable terms for people.

The total amount of financing for the loans amounted to UAH 24.5 million.

The housing was purchased under the following programs:

- lending to young families and single citizens at the expense of local budgets,

- housing loans to combatants who participated in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO).

Also, housing was purchased under the programs of loans for young people and loans to IDPs at the expense of a grant provided by the German government through the KfW.

One of the families that received a housing loan was Hanna Zyuzkova's family. In 2022, Hanna and her family were forced to leave their home in Kherson Oblast and move to Cherkasy Oblast, where they began to rebuild their lives. After winning an independent random selection of loan candidates, they purchased an apartment in Cherkasy on the banks of the picturesque Dnipro River. Hanna works as a psychologist in a military hospital, and her husband Serhii has been defending his homeland since the first days of the war.

It is worth emphasizing the effectiveness of the loan program for ATO participants. One of the families that benefited from this program was the family of Yevhen Puchych. The family purchased a home in the city of Uman. Mr. Puchych is a professional military officer serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and his wife Tatiana is a nurse. The young family is raising two wonderful sons.

The family of Oleg Vitko, who works in IT, has become the owners of a comfortable apartment in Cherkasy. They received a long-term loan with a 50 percent discount, as the family is raising four minor children and is expecting a new addition.

The applicants and their families are grateful to the Cherkasy City Territorial Community and the Cherkasy Regional Department of the State Fund for the opportunity to make their dream of housing a reality.
