FIRST AGREEMENTS WITH IDPs WHO WILL RECEIVE A LOAN OF 3% PER ANNUM WERE SUCCESSFULLY SIGNED
Today, August 5, 2021, agreements were signed with the first recipients of mortgage loans issued under the project "Housing for internally displaced persons" through a grant provided by the Government of Germany through the KfW bank.
The signing took place at the office of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. Family members of the five loan recipients were greeted by KFW’ Bank Director in Kyiv Office Kurt Strasser, Deputy Minister Inna Draganchuk, Project Implementation Consultant Artem Baranov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction Ivan Parukh, Deputy Chairman of the State Fund Elvira Levchenko and Director of the Mortgage Center in Kiev Mykola Marchuk.
The representative of the German bank thanked the organizers from the Ukrainian side for the quality work and effective implementation of the project.
Inna Draganchuk noted the effectiveness of the joint efforts of the German Government, KfW Bank and the organizers of the program on the Ukrainian side - the Ministry of Reintegration and State Fund. Moreover, Ms Draganchuk called the project's common goal to ensure that there were no IDPs left in the register, and that all those who were forced to leave their homes found comfort in their new homes.
Ivan Parukh stressed the positive quality of the project, which is the synergy of efforts of all its participants. Thanks to the "revolving" principle of the program (funds from loan repayments will be used to lend to new citizens), more IDPs will be able to buy their own housing, he said. "We have offered Ukrainians the most convenient and transparent mechanism for obtaining a loan," said a representative of the State Fund.
In addition to the signed agreements, on this day, families of IDPs received symbolic souvenirs from the State Fund.
Sincere emotions of families who have signed the loan agreements are understandable. After all, so far they have lived for many years without their own roof over their heads and have already lost hope for a positive solution to the housing issue. Therefore, the joint Ukrainian-German program became a real "lifeline" for them.
The first loans under the program "Housing for internally displaced persons" on the most favorable terms for citizens in Ukraine received families of internally displaced persons from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The total amount of credit funds under these agreements amounted to UAH 5.3 million.
Reminder: on July 21 State Fund conducted the first random selection of loan recipients from among the candidates included in the Register to participate in the program “Housing for internally displaced persons”. As a result, 150 candidates were selected. The amount of the first tranche for the provision of loans is 5 million euros. After most of these funds are provided to citizens, parties agree on a date for the next random selection.
