Press conference on the launch of the project "Housing for IDPs"
Today, May 11, 2021, a press conference was held on the launch of the project "Housing for Internally Displaced Persons".
The project participants are the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, KfW, Frankfurt am Main, Germany and the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction. In order to finance the project, the Federal Government of Germany through KfW provided a grant of 25.5 million euros. The recipient of funds is the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, the Project-Executing Agency is the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction.
Participants of the press conference, Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary оf the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Dr. Bertram von Moltke, Head of the Cooperation Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine Tobias Schrader, Director of Representative Office of the KFW in Kyiv Kurt Strasser, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Inna Draganchuk and Chairman of the Board of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction Serhii Komnatnyi, published details of the project “Housing for Internally Displaced Persons” and conditions for procuring loans for housing.
In particular, Serhii Komnatnyi pointed out that the admission of applications for participation in the program will begin on May 17 this year. For the participation in the program, a separate register of citizens will be formed based on current registers maintained by the regional departments of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction.
Citizens already included in the existing registers will not be excluded from them until the actual receipt of the loan. Citizens registered under the loan program in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of November 27, 2019 № 980, do not need to register for the second time.
Loans to internally displaced persons will be provided for up to 20 years at 3% per annum based on the regulatory area of housing (21 square meters per person and an additional 10.5 square meters per family).
Housing loan objects can be an apartment in a multi-storey building or a single-family house commissioned not older than 35 years or renovated not longer than 25 years ago.
