The Acquaintance of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction with the USAID Project

On 11 April 2019 Serhii Komnatnyi, Chairman of the Board of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction, held a meeting with Michael Pillsbury, Director of USAID Project “Economic Resilience Activity” and Valeria Sorokina, Director of Grants Programme of the mentioned Project.

The Fund’s leader presented the activities of the institution and presented projects prepared by the Fund on attraction of grant resources based on the programmes being administered by the Fund, as well as a pilot project on housing construction for the IDPs’ cooperative during the meeting.

In Mr. Pillsbury’s opinion, the international sphere of activity of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction is impressive.

The leaders of the indicated USAID Project outlined directions, mechanisms and tools of their activities aimed at supporting the economic development in eastern Ukraine. “In our work we strive to facilitate the vulnerable groups of population to be economically active,” – the Project’s Director mentioned.

The communication took place in the atmosphere of mutual respect and benevolence.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to continue a dialogue concerning further cooperation.
