The EIB to Consider the Fund’s Project Initiatives

On 24 January Serhii Komnatnyi, the Chairman of the Fund’s Board, presented draft projects in the housing policy domain prepared by the employees of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction to the EIB representatives – Violaine Silvestro, Senior Loan Officer, and Anastasiia Kharlan, Business Analyst. Deputy Chairman of the Fund’s Board Serhii Koshelenko and Advisor to the Chairman of the Fund’s Board Olena Shevtsova participated in the presentation.

Namely, strategic concept “Reforming of the State Housing Policy of Ukraine” and a number of applied projects were presented:

-         “Providing housing for the most vulnerable population strata by granting them privileged loans at the expense and with involvement of grant resources”,

-         “Providing housing for the most vulnerable population strata by providing them with support at the expense of grant resources”,

-         “Providing housing for the most vulnerable population strata by providing them with compensation of interest rate for loans at the expense and with involvement of grant resources”

-         “Creation of the “electronic services”

-         “Construction of housing for internally displaced persons-members of cooperative “Gardeners' partnership “MALI DUBLIANY”.

Suggested duration of the projects is from 2 to 5 years.

The EIB experts took proposals for reviewing to decide on the possibility of financing involvement for their implementation.

According to Serhii Komnatnyi, the implementation of the Fund’s projects would mean widening of possibilities for the Ukrainians to solve their housing issue within the limited financing of this need from the State Budget of Ukraine.
