The Fund’s Project Proposal Is Presented in Tallinn
The 4th meeting of the Working group for Housing systems in transition has been held in Tallinn today. Serhii Komnatnyi, Chairman of the Board of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction has participated in it.
The Fund’s leader presented the institution’s project proposal “Housing Construction for IDPs – Members of Cooperative ‘Gardeners’ Partnership’ ‘Mali Dubliany” to the representatives of international financial institutions during the event.
The presentation was made during a matchmaking session between the participants and the CEB and EIB project experts. The project proposal had been sent to the meeting’s organizer – ‘Housing Europe’ in advance and it got positive feedback. The implementation of this project proposal will promote the IDPs’ housing rights to be ensured under support of international donors in Ukraine.
The expedience of the participation of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction in the meeting of the Working group for Housing systems in transition is determined by the necessity to study the best international practices and by the topicality of the issues to be discussed during this activity for the Fund. In particular, the involvement of private sector in the provision of affordable housing, cooperative housing, and progress made for inclusive housing policies in Eastern Europe, financing social housing projects, working towards sustainable neighbourhoods of affordable housing, addressing complex needs of vulnerable groups.
The visit is supported by the Council of Europe Project “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building solutions”. The Project funded the trip of the Chairman of the Fund’s Board.
