THE SFYH CONTINUES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LOCAL HOUSING PROGRAMS
The SFYH utilizes all available opportunities to maintain cooperation with local authorities and self-government bodies. Even amid the ongoing war, we continue to jointly implement regional housing programs. Our goal is to offer Ukrainians more options for solving their housing problems. After all, millions of our citizens need housing today.
As of today, there are 61 local housing programs in operation. These programs include 92 separate procedures and, accordingly, categories of participants.
In particular, the following operate in the regions of Ukraine:
· 16 integrated local housing programs. The following categories of citizens are eligible to participate:
ü soft loans to young people – 14 orders of magnitude;
ü state support and soft loans to participants of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) – 12;
ü providing state support and soft loans to internally displaced persons (IDPs) – 8;
ü provision of housing for pedagogical staff – 6;
ü provision of housing for public sector employees – 8.
· 31 programs of soft loans for young people.
· 11 programs to provide housing for ATO participants.
· 1 program to provide housing for internally displaced persons.
· 1 program to provide housing for big families.
· 1 program for partial reimbursement of loans for energy saving measures.
During the first quarter of 2023, 4 new local housing programs were adopted:
- Volyn region, Kovel – City Target Program "Housing for Youth" for 2023;
- Lviv – City target program for providing housing for young families and single young citizens registered in the territory of the Lviv City Territorial Community for 2023-2027;
- Cherkasy region – Youth housing lending program in Cherkasy for 2023-2027;
- Chernivtsi Oblast – Regional Program for Youth Housing for 2023-2027.
Currently, the projects of 20 local housing programs are under development:
ü new programs – 7: in Vinnytsia, Dnipro (2 programs), Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk (2 programs) and Kirovohrad regions,
ü the extension of programs that expire in 2023 – 13: in Volyn (2 programs), Zaporizhzhia (2 programs), Mykolaiv (2 programs), Odesa (2 programs), Rivne (2 programs), Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv (2 programs) regions.
The total planned amount of funding for 2023 under the current local programs constitutes UAH 181.15 million.
The SFYH will develop the tradition of effective administration of local housing programs. The search for solutions to finance housing programs in the regions in cooperation with local authorities will continue.
After all, state and local housing programs are an opportunity to solve an acute social issue of Ukrainians – housing, and at the same time support the human potential of the regions and give impulse to the development of construction and related industries.
